Monet at Ueno Royal Museum

10月20日から​始まる​モネ展　​「連作の​情景」を​記念して、​アートバーでは​10月を​「モネ月間」とします。​

今月は​通常よりも​多くの​モネに​関連した​セッションを​開催予定です。​モネの​有名で​愛される​作品を​中心に​据えた​セッションが​多数​あり、​あなた​自身の​オリジナルの、​モネインスパイアアートを​制作する​ことができます！​

To honor the 10/20 start date of the upcoming exhibition “Monet: Scenes From a Series of Paintings” we are deeming October MONET MONTH.

We will be hosting more Monet sessions than usual this month, featuring sessions centered around many of Monet’s famous and beloved paintings, so you can try your hand at making your own original Monet-inspired artwork!

Information about the upcoming exhibition:

Title: Monet: Scenes From a Series of Paintings

Dates: October 20th, 2023 – January 28th, 2024

Location: Ueno Royal Museum

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874, the exhibition will bring together more than 60 of Monet’s representative works carefully selected from more than 30 collections around the world.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the magnificent world of Monet’s art by following the process that led to the “series of paintings,” one of his innovative methods of expression, all of which are Monet’s works, through the exhibition.

Monet Frequently repainted the same subjects, popular examples being the water lilies and haystacks series.

He often created series of paintings exploring the way light changed the same landscape at different times of day, in different seasons, and in different weather conditions.

Did you know that Monet unintentionally named the Impressionism movement?

In 1872, Monet painted “Impression, Sunrise”and exhibited it along other fellow artists in Paris.

Coined by an art critic, the painting is credited with inspiring the name of the Impressionist movement.

Did you know that Monet lost his eyesight? Monet was severely affected by cataracts which clouded his vision. Although he suffered visual disturbances, he continued to paint.
